Necessary Goods
Website Design

Figma, Photoshop, Web Design, Layout

During the pandemic, a friend and I thought of an idea to have people share goods with each other that were otherwise hard to obtain(thinking toilet paper at the beginning of the pandemic). The idea was that if someone had something they needed, they could post on our website where they were and what they required. Also, people could post what they had and where they were. While the website never got off the ground, I do have these screens to share of my initial designs.

The design was with soft pastel blues and purples, and to be completely honest I looked towards indeed.com design to figure out the layout of the website. The initial landing page was just the logo, account creation and signup, and a search. There was also supposed to be introductory statements to help the user figure out the website.

The logo was designed to look like a blue and red pill being twisted open with the plus sign as the helpful ingredient inside. I found a nice font called Nunito which was sans-serif with soft corners and was inviting and plesant look to it.

The initial search page has the search items on the left with quick help sidebars on the right. The search would stay the same throughout the search pages.

When a user clicked on a search item, the page would show a description page on the right. This would have all the information about the product being offered with buttons to click if you needed the item or if you had the item.
